Pakistan, Sept. 12 -- Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has supported the creation of new provinces on administrative grounds. He said governing the entire province from Quetta was not practical.

Speaking to senior journalists through a video link, Bugti said new provinces should not follow ethnic divisions. Instead, he argued that administrative needs should determine any future provincial boundaries.

Meanwhile, Bugti discussed the security situation in Balochistan and praised security forces for their efforts. He said state institutions were working together to fight terrorism under difficult conditions.
