Pakistan, July 6 -- The Finance & Planning Committee (FPC) of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) on recommended a budget of Rs 4.58 billion for the financial year 2026-27 for approval by the Syndicate.

The 45th FPC meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Yousuf Khushk, said a SAlu release here on Sunday.

Director Finance Qazi Nizamuddin told the meeting that the deficit had been reduced to Rs384.239 million for 2026-27, down from Rs886.654m in 2025-26, a decrease of over 56 per cent. The improvement was attributed to financial reforms, austerity measures and enhanced revenue generation.
