Pakistan, July 20 -- MUMBAI - The man accused of stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has filed a bail plea, claiming the charges against him are false and that the FIR is based on a fictional account. He maintains that he had no involvement in the January attack.

Mohammad Shariful Islam, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, was arrested two days after the incident and is currently held at Arthur Road Jail. In his plea, he said the investigation is nearly complete, and only the formal chargesheet is yet to be filed by police.
