Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- Karachi police have registered a case against TV host and actor Sahir Lodhi over allegedly bounced cheques. The case was registered following directions from a court.

Shah Latif Town police registered the FIR against Lodhi under Sections 489-F and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police said no arrests have been made in the case.

According to the FIR, complainant Naghma Gul said she invested Rs4 million with Lodhi. She reportedly made the investment after receiving a recommendation from an acquaintance.

The complainant said Lodhi initially paid her Rs250,000 and Rs400,000 as profits from the investment. She later received eight additional cheques at...
