Pakistan, Sept. 13 -- Russia's nuclear chief has accused Ukraine of attacking diesel fuel trucks near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, killing two Russian servicemen. Alexei Likhachev, head of Russia's state nuclear energy corporation, said the strikes took place on Friday and also wounded several other soldiers. He claimed the attacks deliberately endangered safety at the Russian-held facility.

Likhachev said Ukrainian forces launched "a series of combined strikes" against trucks delivering diesel fuel to the plant. According to his statement, the strikes landed very close to the station's perimeter and killed two servicemen involved in supporting the fuel delivery mission.
