Pakistan, July 4 -- The Rupee on Thursday appreciated by 09 paisa against the US Dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 283.86 against the previous day's closing of Rs 283.95. However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 285.50 and Rs 286.40 respectively. The price of the Euro increased by 69 paisa to close at Rs 335.15 against the last day's closing of Rs 334.49, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen remained constant at Rs1.97, whereas a decrease of Rs1.1 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 388.08 as compared to the last day's closing of Rs 389.18.
