Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that the upcoming year could be the final season of his football career, saying he wants to leave behind a spectacular legacy after more than two decades.

The 41-year-old Portugal captain has enjoyed an extraordinary career with Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al-Nassr. He has won five Ballon d'Or awards and numerous major trophies with his clubs.

Ronaldo said football could leave a major gap in his life after retirement, but he plans to stay busy through travel, padel and other activities. He also reflected on the sacrifices he and his family made throughout his 25-year professional journey.
