Pakistan, Sept. 30 -- The Rihanna mansion shooting suspect has regained mental competency for trial, allowing criminal proceedings to continue in Los Angeles. Judge Maria Cavalluzzi reinstated the case against Ivanna Ortiz, 36, after earlier concerns about her mental competence. Ortiz must return to court on Wednesday as prosecutors continue pursuing the charges.

Ortiz faces one attempted murder charge involving Rihanna and 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. Prosecutors also accuse her of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and an occupied vehicle. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains in custody on $1.875 million bail.
