Pakistan, July 16 -- A resolution has been submitted in the Punjab Assembly to restrict Social Media Access for Children under the age of 16. The proposal aims to protect young users from the harmful effects of social media, including cyberbullying, online exploitation, and exposure to inappropriate content.
The resolution was submitted by Sarah Ahmed, Chairperson of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Punjab and a member of the Punjab Assembly. She said stronger measures are needed to ensure the online safety and well-being of children.
