Pakistan, April 26 -- Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has expressed concern over disruption in the supply of petroleum products, medicines and essential commodities due to the ongoing blockade of heavy transport routes in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. RCCI President Usman Shaukat in a statement said the suspension of supply chains was already causing shortages of key items and could soon lead to a rise in prices. "Markets are witnessing reduced availability of essential goods, while inflationary pressure is building due to logistical disruptions," he said in the statement issued on Saturday.
