Pakistan, July 10 -- A powerful 8-hour rain spell dropped 136 millimeters of rain in Lahore on Thursday, causing widespread urban flooding, damage to homes, and the death of two people, including a young girl.
According to local media, heavy downpours severely affected areas including Nishtar Town, Iqbal Town, Samanabad, Gulberg, Johar Town, and several others. Major roads were submerged, and traffic came to a standstill. Commuters were seen pushing stranded cars and motorcycles through deep water.
