Pakistan, Oct. 23 -- Foreign ministers from Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt will meet their counterparts from Britain, France and Germany in Istanbul on Friday, in an unprecedented diplomatic gathering that could open a new channel of engagement between key regional powers and Europe amid escalating security challenges.

The meeting, hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, will bring together the seven countries under the newly emerging R4+E3 format for the first time. Pakistan will be represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, with discussions expected to focus on the Palestinian question, tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, developments in Yemen and efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
