Pakistan, Sept. 29 -- Qatar said Tuesday that message exchanges between the United States and Iran remain ongoing as Doha works to bring both sides closer to a peaceful agreement. Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said meetings with Washington and Tehran were continuing. He said proposals were being exchanged to find common ground and address differences.

Al Ansari said Qatar was continuing its mediation through meetings, message exchanges and discussions with both sides. He said Doha hoped to maintain the diplomatic effort for as long as possible. According to the spokesperson, a peaceful resolution remains necessary to avoid further consequences from the conflict.
