Pakistan, July 1 -- Qatar has confirmed that the $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds remains withheld, dismissing reports that the assets have already been transferred to Tehran and stating that any future release depends on progress in ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.

In a statement issued by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials said the issue of the frozen funds remains directly linked to diplomatic discussions between Washington and Tehran. The ministry stressed that any transfer of the assets would require the agreement of both sides and would only take place if negotiations advance.
