Pakistan, Aug. 27 -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has welcomed China's stance against illegal sanctions targeting Iran. He praised Beijing's opposition to sanctions imposed without international legal or UN backing.

Qalibaf said Iran and China maintain a comprehensive strategic partnership based on mutual respect. He described cooperation between both countries as rooted in shared interests and common goals.

He said the two countries also share a vision for a multipolar world. According to Qalibaf, their relationship does not require permission from any outside party.
