Pakistan, June 8 -- The Punjab government has announced plans to launch an electric bike rental service, introducing a new eco-friendly transportation option aimed at reducing traffic congestion, fuel costs and environmental pollution across the province.

The initiative, which will be introduced in phases, will begin with the deployment of 10,000 electric bikes. Authorities also plan to establish 300 docking and charging stations to support the service and ensure convenient access for commuters.
