Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- The Punjab government has fixed an annual profit rate of 12.05% on General Provident Fund deposits of government employees for the 2025-26 financial year.

The Punjab Finance Department formally announced the revised rate and directed heads of autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies and development authorities to implement the new profit rate.

The latest rate represents a reduction of 0.41 percentage points from the 12.46% rate applied to GP Fund deposits during the previous financial year. The change will affect eligible government employees for the specified period.
