Pakistan, April 13 -- Punjab government has planned a major subsidy scheme for motorcycle riders across the province. Under the proposed plan, bikers will receive Rs100 per litre subsidy on petrol. Officials say the initiative aims to reduce transportation costs for daily commuters. The proposal is currently under review by the provincial finance department.

According to official sources, the Punjab Finance Department has sought Rs24 billion for the project. The summary has been forwarded to the chief minister for final approval. After approval, the funds will be released to implement the subsidy scheme. The government is moving toward formalizing the policy framework.
