Pakistan, Oct. 8 -- The Punjab government is considering allowing a controlled Basant festival next spring to revive the cultural tradition while ensuring public safety. During a recent meeting chaired by Secretary Home Punjab Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi, officials discussed organizing the event on selected days during Jashn-e-Baharan, subject to strict regulations and legal amendments. The move aims to bring back the festive spirit of kite flying without compromising the safety of citizens, which remains the government's top priority.
