Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Karim, in his message on Defence Day, paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for its sacrifices and services rendered for the defence and security of the country.

He said the Pakistan Army had demonstrated an unparalleled spirit of selflessness and sacrifice for the survival, sovereignty and security of the country.

The IGP said Punjab Police saluted the Pakistan Army for making the defence of the beloved homeland invincible and paid tribute to the martyrs who foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy.

He said Defence Day was an occasion to renew the pledge to honour the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of the homeland.
