Pakistan, Oct. 30 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the release of salaries for 2,584 constables recruited into Punjab Police from the waiting list. The Chief Minister approved the release of salaries for these constables during the provincial cabinet meeting held in recent days. During the tenure of the previous IG Punjab, candidates included in the waiting list who met the merit criteria and fulfilled the prescribed rules and regulations were recruited through amendments to the standing order.
