Pakistan, May 26 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed deputy commissioners and district police officers to inspect buses and bus terminals in view of Eidul Azha.

She also ordered that fare lists be prominently displayed on every bus and at every bus stand to prevent overcharging. The chief minister directed authorities to ensure the provision of cold drinking water at bus terminals.

CM Maryam Nawaz warned that the route permits of buses involved in overcharging, as well as licences of bus terminals, would be cancelled. She further directed that transport vehicles operating without fitness certificates should not be allowed to run during Eidul Azha.
