Pakistan, July 1 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday called for collective efforts to uphold the supremacy of Constitution, strengthen the rule of law and promote public welfare.

She said a vibrant parliamentary system was indispensable for a stable, prosperous and progressive Pakistan. In her message on International Day of Parliamentarism, the chief minister felicitated all democratic forces and said the day served as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding people's rights and preserving parliamentary traditions.
