Pakistan, Oct. 11 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved a Rs10 billion subsidy to ensure the provision of affordable flour to the people and decided to increase the quota of subsidized government wheat supplied to flour mills at Rs3,800 per maund amid a rise in flour prices.

Taking serious notice of the increase in flour prices, the chief minister convened a special emergency meeting through video link on Saturday and directed the authorities concerned to ensure the availability of flour and wheat at affordable rates under all circumstances.
