Pakistan, July 29 -- The Punjab government has officially declared all public parks across the province as "no smoking zones" to promote a healthier environment for families and visitors. The decision follows directives from Secretary Housing Noorul Amin Mengal, with a formal notification issued under the Prohibition of Smoking and Protection of Non-Smokers' Health Ordinance 2002.

In addition to cigarettes, the new order also bans the use and sale of all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes. Tuck shops, cafes, and other vendors within park premises are strictly prohibited from selling any tobacco-related items. To ensure public awareness, authorities will install "no-smoking" signs at key locations inside parks.
