Pakistan, Jan. 14 -- The Punjab government has announced a ban on purchasing new petrol and diesel vehicles for government departments, promoting environmentally friendly transport through electric and hybrid alternatives, while field duty vehicles remain exempt.

Under the new policy, only electric or hybrid vehicles will be allowed for official use, marking a major step towards reducing emissions and supporting green energy initiatives across the province in line with environmental priorities.
