Fears of a super flood escalated on Monday as a massive inflow of water from India entered Punjab, swelling rivers and inundating dozens of villages, leaving locals stranded and roads blocked.

Authorities warned that around 1 million cusecs of water are expected to reach Head Panjnad between September 2 and 3, while Guddu Barrage may see 800,000 to 1.1 million cusecs by September 5 to 6.

In Sindh's Dadu district, floodwaters surged into three union councils of the katcha belt, submerging villages and forcing residents to evacuate by boat. Over 30 villages in UC Sial, Munder, and Pat Sharif were flooded.
