Pakistan, April 21 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Monday, losing 1,742.31 points, a negative change of 1.00 percent, closing at 172,196.70 points against 173,939.01 points on the last trading day, according to PSX data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 1,296.211 million shares with a traded value of Rs 65.274 billion, compared to 1,440.629 million shares valuing Rs 67.992 billion in the previous session. The market capitalization declined to Rs 19.060 trillion from Rs 19.250 trillion a day earlier.

Out of 488 active companies in the ready market, 138 advanced, 319 declined, and 31 remained unchanged.
