Pakistan, Sept. 11 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a severe drumming on Thursday, losing 3,078.56 points, a steep negative change of 1.79 percent, to close at 168,865.04 points against 171,943.60 points recorded in the previous trading session amid a surge in Middle East tensions.
The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 628.673 million shares, compared to 477.674 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value stood at Rs 27.016 billion, up from Rs 22.637 billion. Market capitalisation decreased heavily to Rs 18.854 trillion from Rs 19.233 trillion recorded a day earlier.
