Pakistan, July 27 -- Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) rallied sharply on Monday as easing tensions between the United States and Iran boosted investor confidence. The benchmark KSE-100 Index gained more than 5,300 points during intraday trading. Falling global oil prices further supported market sentiment.

The KSE-100 Index rose 5,004.48 points, or 2.93%, to 176,025.68 by 9:35am. Moreover, it extended gains to 176,391.90 by 12:14pm, up 5,370.70 points. The benchmark later traded at 176,354.07, reflecting a 3.12% increase from the previous close.
