Pakistan, May 9 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to bearish trend on Friday, losing 1,778.46 points, a negative change of 1.03 percent, closing at 171,115.82 points against 172,894.28 points on the last trading day, according to PSX data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 1,025 million shares with a traded value of Rs 36.667 billion, compared to 986.970 million shares valuing Rs 52.705 billion in the previous session. The market capitalization declined to Rs 18.903 trillion from Rs 19.046 trillion a day earlier. Out of 487 active companies in the ready market, 210 advanced, 243 declined, and 34 remained unchanged.
