Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bearish trend on Thursday, shedding 1,138.50 points, a negative change of 0.68 percent, to close at 167,441.91 points against 168,580.41 points recorded in the previous trading session.

The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 365.869 million shares, compared to 586.861 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value decreased to Rs 17.722 billion from Rs 22.365 billion.

Market capitalisation decreased to Rs 18.597 trillion from Rs 18.747 trillion recorded a day earlier.

Out of 496 companies that traded in the ready market, 130 posted gains, 324 suffered losses, while 42 remained unchanged.
