Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its bearish trend on Thursday, losing 254.59 points, a negative change of 0.14 percent, to close at 176,591.77 points against 176,846.36 points recorded in the previous trading session.

The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 665.194 million shares, compared to 787.894 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value decreased to Rs30.792 billion from Rs39.568 billion. Market capitalisation declined to Rs19.787 trillion from Rs19.815 trillion recorded a day earlier.

Out of 492 companies that traded in the ready market, 144 posted gains, 312 suffered losses, while 36 remained unchanged, reflecting continued selling ...
