Pakistan, Oct. 3 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) stayed bearish on Friday, losing 481.36 points, a negative change of 0.29 percent, to close at 168,155.49 points against 168,636.85 points recorded in the previous trading session.

The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 493.957 million shares, compared to 548.381 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value increased to Rs17.491 billion from Rs17.054 billion.

Market capitalisation decreased to Rs18.726 trillion from Rs18.776 trillion recorded a day earlier.

Out of 494 companies that traded in the ready market, 128 posted gains, 321 suffered losses, while 45 remained unchanged, reflecting a bearish trend in the market. ...
