Pakistan, June 13 -- The federal government has allocated Rs1,000 million for the ongoing construction of the Model Prison in H-16, Islamabad, under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27 to strengthen correctional infrastructure and improve prison management facilities in the federal capital.

According to Budget 2026-27 documents release on Friday , the project is being implemented under the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and was approved by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on July 20, 2016.

The total cost of the project stands at Rs7,399 million, of which Rs4,738.951 million had been spent up to June 30, 2026. The remaining throw-forward liability has been estimated at ...
