OSLO, Sept. 23 -- Princess Ingrid Alexandra offered a quiet gesture of support to Queen Sonja during Princess Astrid's funeral at Ris Church. The Norwegian royal family gathered in Oslo for the final farewell.

The Norwegian Royal House shared photographs from the service on Instagram. King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit, Ingrid Alexandra and Queen Sonja attended alongside Princess Astrid's closest family members.

Ingrid Alexandra stayed close to her grandmother as the family arrived at the church on Wednesday. She extended her arm towards Queen Sonja in a tender gesture of support during the emotional occasion.
