Pakistan, June 21 -- The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has nominated Amjad Hussain Advocate for the position of Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan. According to party sources, this is the first time PPP has selected a candidate from the Gilgit region for the province's top executive office.

Amjad Hussain Advocate currently serves as the president of PPP Gilgit-Baltistan and is considered one of the party's leading figures in the region. He recently won the GBA-1 Gilgit seat in the latest elections, strengthening his position within the party.
