Pakistan, June 22 -- The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have begun consultations over the allocation of key constitutional offices as efforts continue to form the next government in Gilgit-Baltistan following the recent regional elections.

According to sources, the PPP has decided to nominate Imran Nadeem Shigri for the position of Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly. The party leadership has reportedly approved his nomination as part of its strategy for government formation in the region.

Imran Nadeem Shigri was elected to the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly from the GBA-12 Shigar constituency on a PPP ticket and is considered a senior party figure in the region.
