Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on Monday, damaging buildings and injuring people across parts of the country.

The earthquake was centred near San Jose del Palmar in Colombia's Choco province. Strong tremors caused significant damage to buildings and infrastructure in affected areas.

Choco authorities reported extensive damage in the provincial capital, Quibdo. Governor Nubia Carolina Cordoba confirmed injuries and significant damage following the powerful earthquake.
