Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- DERA ISMAIL KHAN - A police officer was martyred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Dera Ismail Khan district when a checkpoint in the Khati area came under attack from terrorists on Thursday, officials confirmed.
According to Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ashfaq Anwer, terrorists attacked the checkpoint from multiple directions. The checkpoint in-charge, Ahmed Nawaz, was critically injured during the assault and later embraced martyrdom.
