Pakistan, July 2 -- Shangla Police here on Wednesday conducted a search and strike operation Machkandi area on the reports about presence of Fitna-al-Khawarij. The operation was launched after receiving information that members of Fitna-al-Khawarij are moving in the area. The operation was led by District Police Officer, Shah Hassan and conducted by personnel of elite force and counter terrorism department. Law enforcers have extended the ambit of operation to surrounding areas of Machkandi after miscreants exchanged fire and fled the scene. Police officials have said that search operation would be continued urging local elders to cooperate with police and inform authorities about any suspicious activity.
