Pakistan, Nov. 11 -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui passed away on Monday after battling illness for two weeks. He had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad, but his condition worsened over the last few days.
Senator Siddiqui was a senior leader of PML-N and served as the parliamentary leader of the party in the Senate. He was widely regarded as a close aide and trusted confidant of the party president and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
