Pakistan, Sept. 26 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York with a clear message: Pakistan wants peace, but it will firmly defend its interests.

He highlighted Pakistan's role in diplomacy and regional peace. He said the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye is not against any country, but is meant to strengthen defence, stability and peace in the region.

The Prime Minister also spoke strongly about Kashmir and Palestine, calling for the rights of their people and a peaceful political solution. He also warned that Pakistan would treat any attempt to block or divert its share of water as an act of war.
