Pakistan, June 12 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited the Pakistan Peoples Party to form the government in Gilgit-Baltistan after PML-N decided to sit in opposition. He said the PPP has emerged as the majority party in the assembly. The decision reflects a political understanding between the two coalition partners.

The prime minister said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will support PPP in forming the government in Gilgit-Baltistan. He confirmed that PML-N lawmakers will vote in favor of the PPP. According to him, the move was made in line with democratic traditions and mutual respect among allies.
