Pakistan, June 18 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has cancelled his scheduled visit to Switzerland, according to diplomatic sources. The trip was expected to take place as part of follow-up engagements related to the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. The cancellation comes amid changes in the planned diplomatic schedule.

Sources said the prime minister was due to depart for Switzerland on Thursday. However, the visit was called off after the signing of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. Officials said the initial agreement had already been formalised at a higher level.
