Pakistan, Aug. 28 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement promotes peace and unity across the region. He said the pact has brought Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye closer together. Shehbaz made the remarks during a meeting with Saudi Minister Abdulrahman Al-Fadley in Islamabad.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, Shehbaz welcomed the Saudi minister to the Prime Minister's House. He reaffirmed Pakistan's strong and longstanding relationship with Saudi Arabia. The prime minister also conveyed greetings to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
