Pakistan, Aug. 20 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shibani in Islamabad on Thursday. They discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and Syria's reconstruction efforts.

The prime minister welcomed the Syrian foreign minister and his delegation during the meeting. He also conveyed his best wishes to Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa.

Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan's support for Syria's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. He also pledged Pakistan's continued support for Syria's position regarding the occupied Golan Heights.
