Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bill Gates discussed expanding cooperation in agriculture, artificial intelligence and digital innovation. Their meeting also covered public health, nutrition, immunisation and financial inclusion. The talks took place alongside the 81st United Nations General Assembly session in 2026.

The Prime Minister's Office said the two met on Wednesday during the UNGA session. Shehbaz welcomed the Gates Foundation's continued engagement with Pakistan. He highlighted its support for several health and development programmes.
