Pakistan, Oct. 30 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday approved the expansion of Lahore and Karachi airports under their respective master plans, directing authorities to complete the projects within stipulated timelines while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Chairing a meeting on airport expansion and passenger facilitation here, the prime minister emphasized that passenger convenience must remain the top priority at all airports across the country.

He directed the relevant authorities to ensure that no compromise was made on the quality of construction and that third-party validation of reforms aimed at improving airport infrastructure and passenger services was carried out.
