Pakistan, Sept. 17 -- A newborn who survived the deadly fire at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has died during treatment. Hospital sources said the infant died late Wednesday night. The newborn had been receiving treatment at PIMS Children's Hospital after being rescued from the fire.

The infant had been placed on a ventilator following the incident. The fire in the PIMS nursery claimed the lives of 14 newborns. The latest death adds to the tragedy surrounding the incident and leaves no surviving infant among those rescued from the affected nursery, according to the report.
